I changed a few settings on my camera and then played around with it this weekend. Unfortunately, there was nothing really going on--even though I watched the entire Super Bowl from beginning to end (which is very, very unusual for me), that doesn't exactly give me a reason to take action shots of anything. During the day, I decided to take Andy's dog, Dutch, out for a walk to get us out of the house and so that I would have the opportunity to take pictures of him moving. Some of the ones when I took Emerson the other day were a little blurry. So I changed my shutter speed and a couple other things the results were much better.
The camera can only be as good as the person using it. Here's my best shot. I dare you to look at it and not laugh.
Every single time I look at that picture, I laugh. He just looks so happy. In his little red dog world, this is pure, unadulterated happiness--and it shows. I know there have been a few times that I have felt that happy--but when I am, I don't think it shows quite that much.
Actually, though, there is something in my life right now that makes me feel pretty much exactly like Dutch looks---it looks like I've got a job interview!
